Some friends stay by you for life, the others, leave you when you are in a crisis.
Recently, I realised that I have spent more time on my friends than family. Somewhat or another, since I entered primary school, I seem to be unsocialized and make friends when they request. To some people I want to make friends with, I don't have the courage to do so. So I treaured every friendship I had and keptevery souvenir that could make me remember of anyfriendship, but I'm not sure whether the other party did. To some people, friendship mean nothing but playing but the rest take friends for pouring their troubles out without getting betrayed. Today, time seemed to rewind as I sat on the see- saw with my best friend, Shu Leng. She remembered those times that we had so much fun( I'm glad) together....
We met in our primary 4 class, but rarely talk to each other. When we werein primary 5, after the shifting during the 3rd term, we were brought together by fate. Of course, she initiated the chat by saying hi. I replied another hi. She asked : "So you are Joey from 4B right? " I replied yes and asked if she was Shu Leng from 4B. She said yes. And our friendship just begun like that.....
One time, we were both selected for the mid- autumn festival at Chung Cheng high. Then, our teacher allowed us to go to explore on our own. That time, I was still a stranger to the whole environment and scared and friendless. Then, after we finished our dinner, our teacher wanted us to explore on our own. And she said the more the merrier. So Shu Leng and her friend, Evelyn asked me to join them. Then evelyn said " 自杀" ( zi sha, commit suicide in English). You know what it means? She used to write that on the whiteboard during Chinese tuition( that's another story...) . Then, we went to the painting store. I painted much more faster and messier than her, when I finished 3, she didn't even complete 1. So I went off first. Then I went to talk to the old folks ( for nothing) because I so lame! He ask whether if he could get one of the painting by me. I said yes happily and he slipped it in his pocket!!! Oh My god! THE PAINT HAVEN'T DRY!! Later , I got myself a free lanturn and there were no stick. So I hold like that! Later, we met again. Then we were late. We rushed to find the hall, but we couldn't!! So we asked a student from that school, she told us but that door was locked!!!! Then, we went to another door. And reached the hall, but there were no one! Me, Shu Leng, Evelyn together withYuen Ning and Hui Ling stopped to discuss who got our Chinese teacher's handphone number. I didn't. I didn't even know who was Miss Gladys Soh before she taught my class Chinese. Rejectedly, we walked out of the hall via the other exit. AND MISS GLADYS SOH WAS THERE, WAITING FOR THE SCHOOL BUS! YAY!!! When we came back, one of our friends called us 《迷路宾》(mi lu bin( the lost army in chinese- winner of project superband) There, our bond increased.
At that time, my current friendship was very sour and I always look forward to Chinese class because I could get some cheering up. Once, we used a ruler to hit a donut eraser out of the window when we were playing " donut delivery" . Think the delivery failed! ;) And it landed on the rooftop. I think its still there, at the 5B classroom , now its 4 something..... 2nd classroom from library stairs :)
